Welcome

What I offer

I host space for deep conversation.

The people I meet with share a desire to make meaning from their lives. While each conversation (and every journey) is unique, I notice some common threads. Very often people come to me because:

  • They’re searching for a still point in an overwhelming world. They need one place where they can tend a soul that is battered and bruised by too much noise, too much busyness, too much change, too much of everything.
  • Very often old modes of being (either vocationally or spiritually) are not working anymore. In fact, the old forms are draining them dry. They are slowly waking to new callings and they don’t know where to turn.
  • They’re often wrestling with tough issues in their past or in the present.
  • They’re often feeling isolated and alone in dealing with these tough issues. Even when they have a supportive spouse or a significant friend network, they need one safe place where they can be fully transparent and vulnerable.

For leaders, these conversations typically start in the form of leadership agility coaching. For other people, I offer spiritual companionship. (You can read my essay “Coaching or Companionship – What’s the Difference” here.) I also facilitate teams who are want more effective ways of working together, and to facilitate strategic planning.

Why I do this work

My mission in life is to lovingly reveal, fiercely defend, and joyfully celebrate all that is precious in the world.

We need more people who recognize their own dignity – their preciousness – and the preciousness of the people around them. We need more leaders who act from that frame. We need more groups that operate in healthy and life-giving ways.

My own life journey has taught me these truths, and brought me to a point where I can join with persons and groups in their efforts to claim those gifts. This is my vocation in the world.

Together we can make the world a better place.

How I work

I practice out of Pathways Retreat, and meet with you either in person (when we can meet safely) or virtually. Everything starts with an exploratory conversation. I don’t charge for that initial conversation. We’ll talk about your situation, and explore together whether this is a good fit.

The best way to get started is email me at evan@evanjmiller.com or use the form on the Contact page. I’ll send you a link to my calendar and we’ll find a time that works for both of us.
